A little bit about us
I was born in California, but I was raised in Fairfax, VA and still live here. I graduated from George Mason University with B.S. in Economics. When I graduated in 2019, I began working as an energy industry analyst at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Some of my hobbies include competing in half marathons, coaching lacrosse, refereeing ice hockey and baking. I love being outdoors and being involved with sports.

I was born and raised in Indonesia and moved to Seattle in 2017 to pursue my bachelor's degree. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Marketing and Information Systems. After graduation, I worked for three years in operations for several companies before moving to Maryland to pursue my MBA at the University of Maryland. I love the beach, which is why I enjoy surfing! I also love spending time with my loved ones.

How we met
In April, we met at an EPIC (Enjoying, Praising, Intercollegiate, Campuses) meeting at the University of Maryland. EPIC meetings bring together the various DMV area Christians on Campus for blending and fellowship. Davira has been active in the Maryland Christians on Campus club the past year, and Johannes sometimes helps out with the George Mason Christians on Campus club. He was also a member of the George Mason Christians on Campus club before he graduated. This EPIC college event was the last college event of the spring semester for both clubs. Johannes was busy coaching the George Mason lacrosse club last semester, so he didn’t attend any of the prior EPIC events. By the Lord’s planning, his schedule was freed up for the last EPIC meeting of the semester and his friends convinced him to go. He didn’t expect to meet anyone new at the EPIC meeting. Little did he know, there was someone special who would catch his eye named Davira. From Davira’s side, she wasn’t expecting to meet anyone either, until someone stopped her, introduced himself, and the rest is history.
